Course Outline:
The morning session of the Inman Aligner Hands-on course will consist of:
- Introduction and philosophy, history of spring aligners, problems of previous designs
- The Workings of the Inman aligner
- Case Selection
- Arch Evaluation, Space calculation, Inter-proximal reduction, expansion and retention
- Case Presentations. A Large portfolio of varied cases will be shown and will be discussed and explained in detail
- Inman Aligners Before Veneers and Ethical Considerations
- Use of clear aligners to finish Inman Aligner cases.
The afternoon hands on session with expert assistance, will consist of:
- Hands on Case selection
- Arch Evaluation
- Laboratory prescription
- Fitting an Aligner
- Inter-proximal reduction
- Adjusting an aligner
- Retention
About the tutor
Dr. Gun Norell, Sweden
Dr Gun completed her Dental Degree at Royal Karolinska Institute in Sweden 1986. Since then she has been running a private dental clinic in Stockholm for 18 years before moving to Dubai 2007 where she is currently practising at Dr Michaels Dental Clinic. Her main focus has always been on minimal invasive multidisciplinary treatments. Since 2014 she is a certified Inman Aligner trainer and has completed over 300 cases, often combined with bleaching, direct or indirect bonding for the best results. Today her focus lies on progressive smile design where the patient leads the way during treatment. Dr Gun is a member of AACD.
