Align Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ: ALGN), today announced it has moved its 2020 Growth Summit to an all-digital format. The 2020 Growth Summit, originally planned for Dubrovnik, Croatia, will be hosted on June 19-20, 2020 from a TV studio and will feature expert speakers from the dental and business sectors speaking directly into dentists’ homes.

The two-day symposium has been curated for dentists - both current Invisalign providers or those aspiring to get their training. By joining this digital experience, dental professionals will have the opportunity to connect with thought leaders and hear clinical, business development and personal growth presentations, together.

The line up to help the profession in these challenging times will include Dr. Ingo Baresel, an accomplished international speaker and author of numerous articles about digital workflows and intraoral scanning. Dr. Baresel will describe next level dentistry with iTero Element 5D intraoral scanner. He will be joined by Dr. Karla Soto, semi-finalist at the national 2017 Invisalign Summit. Dr. Soto has trained how to decrease Invisalign treatment time by half and is also part of an international study club that stays ahead of all things Invisalign. Also on the programme will be Dr. David Galler, an Invisalign Provider and developer of a unique interproximal reduction (IPR) technique.

Another featured speaker will be Dr. Raman Aulakh, who has trained and certified over 3500 specialist orthodontists and GDPs across Europe in the Invisalign system. He has a Masters in Orthodontics from the University of Aarhus, Denmark and has been an Invisalign Provider since 2008.

Abhishek Ganguly, vice president sales, general dentist channel EMEA, added: “As one of the leaders in the world of dentistry, we believe in taking the industry forward not only through our digital technologies but also through world-class education – both clinical and business. That is why consistent with what we did in Copenhagen in 2018 and in Berlin last year, we are continuing with our philosophy of bringing in topics from outside the dentistry world and introducing them within dentistry. If there ever has been a critical moment for us to help dentists from around the world and EMEA with perspectives and knowledge to better face the post-COVID world, it is now”.

Ganguly added: “The timing for our virtual GP Growth Summit couldn’t have been better. Hopefully, we are approaching the last mile in the fight against this pandemic and as practice resumption becomes a priority for Invisalign and iTero doctors, the topics in our agenda and exposure to our technology should give them the necessary boost, so that they can confidently resume the work that they so strongly believe in – that transforms lives through better smiles”.

Besides attracting world class dental key opinion leaders, the Growth Summit will also host a diverse range of speakers to talk about non-dental topics that are impacting the world of dentistry, including personal and business growth, marketing and empowerment. Back by popular demand will be Ken Hughes, a leading shopping and consumer behaviouralist who has addressed previous Growth Summits, who will be suggesting “Five ways to bring patients back”. Connie Dieken, a word-renowned executive coach for senior business leaders, will encourage delegates to “embrace this one in a lifetime opportunity to emerge even more influential”.  Adrian Gostick and Chester Elton, New York Times best-selling authors of “All In, The Carrot Principle, and What Motivates Me,” will  guide viewers to “energize their business especially in a crisis,” whilst Professor Tim Newton, a psychologist with a special interest in dentistry will explore the subject of mental health in dentistry - at a time when an already stressed profession has been further challenged by the current health pandemic.
