DUBAI, UAE: A new agreement between UCL Consultants— the consultancy arm of University College London (UCL)—and Dubai’s Liberty Dental Clinic is paving the way for advancements in aesthetic dentistry across the Middle East. The partners have announced the establishment of a new bespoke aesthetic dentistry training programme to be launched in the UAE capital in early 2026. Offering intensive, hands-on courses, the programme will be tailored to clinicians seeking to enhance their expertise in aesthetic procedures.

The two-day, in-person training programme will be led by Dr Dina Dedi, director of aesthetic dentistry and clinical associate professor at the UCL Eastman Dental Institute. Training will be delivered at Liberty Dental Clinic, a leading local provider of oral care known for its modern clinical facilities and patient-centred aesthetic dental treatment.

The training will consist of lectures, skills laboratories and supervised case presentations covering key topics such as smile design, veneer preparation, cementation techniques and interdisciplinary treatment planning. Online seminars will complement the offering.

A university press release explained: “This intensive, hands-on course will be created specifically for dental professionals seeking to enhance their expertise in aesthetic procedures. It combines UCL’s world-class academic rigour with Liberty’s clinical innovation, offering a unique opportunity to apply evidence-based knowledge in a practical, real-world setting.” The programme will be delivered in English and is expected to attract participants from the UAE and neighbouring countries.

Dr Dedi, who also developed the programme, commented: “I am delighted to have the opportunity to present—in collaboration with Liberty—our evidence-based teaching in Dubai and to support colleagues in the region in enhancing their smile makeover cases and delivering veneer clinical procedures with confidence.”

Dr Stephen Porter, professor of oral medicine at the UCL Eastman Dental Institute, said: “This wonderful initiative brings together the expertise of Dr Dedi, UCL Eastman and Liberty Dental Clinic to deliver advanced, evidence-based education in aesthetic dentistry. By supporting the continued professional development of practitioners in the UAE, we aim to contribute to the region’s ongoing commitment to excellence in patient care.”

UCL is overseeing the administrative aspects of the project. Participant recruitment and scheduling are currently being finalised.
