Dr. Antonis Chaniotis, Greece
Dr. Antonis Chaniotis graduated from the University of Athens School of Dentistry in Greece in 1998. In 2003, he completed a three-year postgraduate program in endodontics at the same school. Since 2003, he has owned a private practice limited to microscopic endodontics in Athens. For the last ten years, he has served as a clinical instructor affiliated with the undergraduate and postgraduate programs at the School of Dentistry and the Department of Endodontics at the University of Athens.

Chaniotis is passionate about video documentation in microscope-enhanced endodontics and believes in the educational power of video presentations.

He currently serves as an active member of the Hellenic Society of Endodontology and the Academy of Microscope Enhanced Dentistry and is a certified member of the European Society of Endodontology.

Course Aims
DAY 1 - To understand the rational behind non surgical retreatment approaches and the aitiology of initial root canal treatment failure. To present an evidence based framework for the safe and effective dissasembly of non obturation and obturation materials.
DAY 2 - To understand the factors related to the long term outcome of non surgical endodontic retreatment and to develop a rational diagnostic and decision making framework. To appreciate the importance of magnification and illumination for the management of complicated non surgical retreatment cases.

Course Objectivee
DAY 1 - Delegates will be able to remove guttapercha obturations from root canals, remove Carrier based obturations from the root canals, remove paste obturations and remove fiber posts. Delegates will have the oportunity to use most of the current technology used during retreatment procedures.
DAY 2 - Delegates will be able to bypass and remove broken endodontic files and understand all the preventive measures to avoid complications during endodontic instrumentation. The delegates will be able to repair a pulp floor perforation, to obtutrate an internal resorption defect and to perform apical plugs with biocompatible materials.
