DUBAI, UAE: Today, the 18th International Dental Conference and Arab Dental Exhibition (AEEDC) was officially inaugurated by Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid al-Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Minister of Finance and President of the Dubai Health Authority. Over 30,000 participants from about 130 countries and representatives of more than 1,400 dental companies are expected to attend this year’s event.
Over the course of three days, major companies from 70 countries around the world will be showcasing their latest innovations, technologies and equipment at the show, which has become one of the largest events in dental technology. This year, the exhibition features 19 national pavilions.
“For the past 18 years, the AEEDC Dubai conference and exhibition has changed the face of dentistry locally and internationally. It has recorded outstanding growth year after year and has become an essential platform for dentists, technicians, and manufacturers from all over the world. We are very proud that AEEDC today is ranked as the second-largest dental event in the world and the first in the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia,” said Dr Abdul Salam al-Madani, Executive Chairman of AEEDC Dubai and the Global Scientific Dental Alliance.
The conference and exhibition run until Thursday, 6 February, at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, and feature a number of intensive scientific activities, including the AEEDC advanced specialty courses, which will provide systematic and comprehensive updates for dental specialists, for which participants can earn CE credits. In addition, participants from 22 Arab countries in the Arab Dental Federation will attend the Global Scientific Dental Alliance Meeting at AEEDC to discuss the latest techniques and the most important topics related to oral health.
