BRUSSELS, Belgium: The European Federation of Periodontology (EFP) is inviting the global dental community to the EuroPerio10 congress in Copenhagen in Denmark in June. EuroPerio is usually held triennially, but had to be postponed last year because of the pandemic. EuroPerio 10 will feature an outstanding speaker line-up of more than 130 experts from over 30 countries who will cover the latest trends in periodontics, implant dentistry, and other dental and medical disciplines. The event will take place from 15 to 18 June at Bella Center Copenhagen.

EuroPerio10 will feature a wide variety of innovative formats, including live mucogingival and bone regeneration surgeries, interactive sessions, nightmare sessions illustrating worst-case treatment scenarios, video sessions, debates, interviews and symposia. Considerable attention will also be given to the EFP’s clinical guidelines on the treatment of periodontitis. In addition, the newest guideline on treating Stage IV periodontitis will be presented at the congress.

“The scientific programme addresses the interests of every member of the dental community and provides them with an updated snapshot of what perio is today,” explained Prof. David Herrera, scientific chair of EuroPerio10. “We have a great faculty, complete and diverse, addressing the main challenges of our profession with the most engaging session formats.”

Attendees can tailor their EuroPerio10 experience by choosing programme items corresponding to their professional profile (specialist, academic, clinician, oral hygiene and prevention, researcher).

Registration for EuroPerio10 is open on the EFP website, and discounted pricing is available until 18 May.

Besides the regular programme, EuroPerio10 means access to a series of sponsored workshops and a networking programme with special events. Other key elements of the congress include: abstract presentations, contests, award ceremonies, a major industry exhibition and the EFP Village as the meeting point for the dozens of national societies that comprise the EFP.

“EuroPerio10 is the main event organised by the EFP and appeals to a large, global audience,” said Prof. Lior Shapira, president of the EFP. “The previous editions—EuroPerio8 in London in the UK in 2015 and EuroPerio9 in Amsterdam in the Netherlands in 2018—were each attended by around 10,000 attendees from more than 100 countries and have paved the way for a brilliant EuroPerio10.”

“EuroPerio10 will allow the dental community to gather together again for the first time in a long time,” said Prof. Phoebus Madianos, chair of EuroPerio10. “So we are proud to have prepared an exciting congress up to the task of bringing dental professionals up to date in terms of knowledge, skills, trends and solutions, but also in terms of personal interaction and networking with colleagues.”
