Dentsply Sirona starts 2022 with an impressive milestone: the 75,000th Heliodent Plus left the production site in Bensheim, Germany. The intraoral X-ray unit is the pillar of daily diagnostic work in dental practices, while its reliability and image quality are of the highest standard.
Compact intraoral X-ray units are essential for dental practices. For Dentsply Sirona, this was clear long before the Heliodent Plus X-ray unit was presented to the professional world in 2009. After all, the predecessor of the current model, the HELIODENT, was manufactured almost 200,000 times in Bensheim between 1978 and 2008. The basic technical principle of directing the X-ray beam precisely onto the examination field, via a cone-shaped emitter, has not changed since then. However, many other components of the current Heliodent Plus have been continuously developed so that this bestselling solution from Dentsply Sirona is now one of the most modern, efficient and reliable intraoral X-ray units on the market.
Established X-ray solution that meets all expectations
Users, including dental assistants, are delighted at how easy Heliodent Plus is to operate and delivers the expected results. "It is very helpful not to have to worry about how the device works in everyday life," says Manuela Schröder, a dental assistant at Dr. Gerd Frahsek’s practice, in Velbert. She added: "We really enjoy working with the Heliodent Plus in the practice - and have for many years. It is reliable and robust."
For Dentsply Sirona, the production of the 75,000th Heliodent Plus reaffirms its promise to support dentists with innovative solutions to give their patients a healthy smile. Niels Plate, Group Vice President Equipment & Instruments at Dentsply Sirona said, "Hardly any X-ray unit has incorporated as much experience and technical know-how as the Heliodent Plus." He further noted: "In its continued development, we have consistently set new standards in imaging quality while addressing the needs of our customers. The fact that so many dentists worldwide appreciate this and trust the product makes us proud."
